Kathryn "Kathy" V. (Sydnor) Williams

Mrs. Kathryn “Kathy” Sydnor Williams, age 62 of Elkton, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

She was born July 29, 1954 in Todd County, Kentucky the daughter of William Thomas Sydnor, Sr. and Susie Elizabeth Payne.  She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Elkton where she was a member of many choirs.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as two brothers Owen Clark Leavell and William Thomas Sydnor, Jr. and two sisters Mary Louise Bell and Earlene Sydnor Merriweather.  She is survived by her husband Raymond L. Williams of Elkton; three sons Jermaine A. Sydnor and Jason W. Sydnor both of Elkton and Raymon L. Williams of Kokomo, Indiana; two daughters Karen D. Sydnor of Birmingham, Alabama and Tamisha M. Allen of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers Robert Van Sydnor and Earl Sydnor both of Elkton; three sisters Betty Ann Leavell of Elkton, Thomasine C. Hassell of North Carolina and Tomeka Sydnor of Elkton; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation with the Sydnor-Williams family will be on Saturday morning from 10:00 until funeral service time at 2:00 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Elkton.  Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Elkton with Pastor Phillip Suber officiating.  Interment will follow at the Elkton City Cemetery in Elkton.
