Linda Ruth Cannon Smith

Linda Ruth Cannon Smith, age 77 of Elkton, passed away on Sunday, March 11^th at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee of natural causes.

She was born July 30, 1940 in Todd County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Walker Dale and Christine Dixon Hurt.

She was non-denominational by faith, loved cooking, reading and doing puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Lones Cannon and sister Patsy Harris.  She is survived by one son Steven Cannon (Tammie) of Augusta, Georgia; one daughter Deborah Peak (Curtis) of Augusta, Georgia; one brother Jimmy Dale Hurt of Hopkinsville; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  Also surviving is her soulmate Charles Ferguson of Elkton.

Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Shane Hessey officiating.  Interment will follow at the Bethel Church Cemetery in Elkton.
