Lois Jean Chavez

Ms. Lois Jean Chavez, age 61 of Elkton, passed away on Monday, February 26^th at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville of natural causes.

She was born May 9, 1956 in Harlan County, Kentucky the daughter of the late William A. and Alma (Cowans) Gilbert.

She was a devoted Christian.  She loved flowers, yard work, cooking, collecting things and most of all loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by three sons Allen Gilbert of Elkton, Nick Chavez of Tennessee and Juan Santoyo of Elkton; five daughters Nancy Dunn (Rodney) of Clarksville, Monica Chavez (Casiano) and Amanda Chavez both of Elkton, Rosa Warner (Danny) of Hinesville, Georgia and Becky Santoyo of Ft. Myers, Florida; one brother William Gilbert of Harlan County, Kentucky; two sisters Thelma Gilbert of Elkton and Dolly Wagers (Earl) of Laurel County, Kentucky.  Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home.  Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Friday at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Richard Davis officiating.  Interment will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton.
