Mr. Noble O. Watkins, age 85 of Hopkinsville and formerly of Elkton, passed away on Sunday, February 11th at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Kentucky of natural causes.
He was born May 1, 1932 in Logan County, Kentucky the son of the late Floyd Watkins, Sr. and Beulah (Bearden) Watkins Boley.
He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Elkton, Modern Woodmen and Good Sam Camping Club. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War at Japan and Korea. He was a mechanic and the owner/operator of Watkins Garage in Elkton for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his stepfather Damon Boley and two brothers Floyd Watkins, Jr. and Robert Watkins. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Eva Mae Shemwell Watkins of Hopkinsville; two sisters Enola Watkins Simon (Bill) of Goreville, Illinois and Guyeula Boley Henderson Larimore (Larry) of Hopkinsville; two sisters in laws Dorothy Gates of Hopkinsville and Betty Watkins of Elkton as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the Watkins family will be on Tuesday from 12:00 until funeral service time at 2:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday at 2:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Elkton.
