Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Wilson, age 80 of Guthrie, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, September 7, 2016 at the Creekwood Place in Russellville, Kentucky of natural causes.
She was born September 9, 1935 in Placentia, Newfoundland Canada the daughter of the late Richard and Veronica Edwards Hilliard. She was a member of St. Mary & St. James Catholic Church. She loved her family, cooking, sewing, church and was very active in gardening and canning.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Hobert Wilson (2000); one son Dennis Michael Wilson; three brothers Tom, Jack, Ambrose Hilliard and three sisters Barbara, Mary and Elizabeth Hilliard. She is survived by four sons David Wilson (Karen Joy) of North Carolina, Richard Wilson (Karen) of Clarksville, Edd Wilson of Guthrie and Patrick Wilson (Beverly) of Clarksville; two daughters Theresa Ewan (Carl) of South Carolina and Catherine Pate of Elkton; one brother Bob Hilliard of Ontario, Canada; five sisters Katherine Ray of Arkansas, Sylvia Green of Labrador City, NI Canada, Florence Carrol of Georgia, Theresa Kaczor of New York and Freda Hunter of California. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Wilson family will be on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 in the Chapel of the Cook-Webb Funeral Home with Father Frank Ruff officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
