Vola Caylor Stooksbury

Mrs. Vola Caylor Stooksbury, age 100 of Allensville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, November 23^rd at Hearthstone Place in Elkton, KY of natural causes.

She was born September 4, 1917 in Townsend, Tennessee the daughter of the late Daniel Wesley and Sarah Jane (Patty) Caylor.  She was a member of Guthrie United Methodist Church.  She was a loyal farmers wife, loved her family and loved caring for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Clemie Stooksbury; one son Clayton Daniel Stooksbury; two brothers Odis and Raymond Caylor and two sisters Hazel Drinnen and Oca Morris.  She is survived by one son John Brickey Stooksbury of Allensville, Kentucky; one daughter Mary Alice Coombs of Crofton, Kentucky; one sister Irene White of Greenback, Tennessee; three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation with the Stooksbury family will be on Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home in Guthrie, Kentucky.  There will be a Graveside Service on Monday at 2:00 at the Sweetwater Memorial Park in Sweetwater, Tennessee with Ralph Kidd officiating.
