Mrs. Alice Wells, age 77 of Elkton, passed away on Saturday September 15th at the Hearthstone Place Nursing Home in Elkton of natural causes.
She was born February 4, 1941 in Simpson County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Laurence and Eva Cardwell Link.
She was non-denominational by faith and retired from the Todd County Board of Education where she was the manager of the cafeteria at North Todd School. She loved cooking, traveling and yard work.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as one sister Betty Penrod. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Russell Wells of Elkton; five brothers Ellis Link of Memphis, Tennessee, Elbia, Tommy and Danny Link all of Franklin and Earl Link of Mayfield; five sisters Nancy Key, Loyal Gann and Kay McKay all of Franklin, Linda Creasy of Scottsville and Bobbie Vonatte of Portland, Tennessee.
Visitation with the Wells family will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday morning at 11:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Gene Bagby and Shane Hessey officiating. Interment to follow at the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton.
