Audrey Gail Pirkle

Audrey Gail Posey was born November 26, 1956 in Russellville, Kentucky to the late Lena Mae Bland and the late Harvey Lee Posey.

She developed a love for music at an early age and was a member of the Russellville High School Band and Flag Line. After graduating from Russellville High School, she began working and building her family.  She traveled through the years but finally found her way back home to Russellville where she retired.

She had many talents and hobbies including hand crafting, ceramics, pottery, fishing, cooking, baking (she made the best chocolate chip cookies you ever had) and taking care of her plants.  She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as well as just taking care of people in general.

She was 62 when she passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 13 years Johnny G. Pirkle Jr.; two brothers Ricky (Melissa) Posey and Charles (June Ray) Lewis; a niece Rayetta Marable and great nephew Justin Scott.

She leaves to mourn her four children Crystal, Christopher, Tiffany and Brandy Bell all of Russellville; two brothers James “Goat” (Geraldine) Posey of Russellville and Reuben Lewis of Lexington; five sisters Birdie Marable, Savannah Long, Lillian (Robert) Wynn and Debbie (David) Clayton all of Russellville and Nannette (John) DeNouden of Sedro Wooley, Washington; five granddaughters Cheyenne, Channing, Chesny, Brentleigh and Jatyrah; one very special grandson Jatorin “AKA Lucci”; her neighbors and special friends Jessica and Scott Mallard and Kim and Chuck Wiseman all of Franklin, Kentucky as well as countless other friends and loved ones.

Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 10:00 until funeral service time at 12:00 at the First Baptist Church, 221 S. Spring Street, Russellville, Kentucky with Minister Donnie Bland officiating.  Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens in Russellville.

There will be a repass at the KP Hall in Russellville following the interment.
