Mrs. Cynthia Ellen Knight, age 82 of Elkton, passed away on Sunday, March 18th at the Hearthstone Place in Elkton of natural causes.
She was born April 16, 1935 in Todd County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Dave and Juanita (McGhee) Laster. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and was famous for her red tomato ketchup. She loved her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Alvin Knight; two sons Alvin Knight, Jr. and Roger Knight; two brothers Oneal and Billy Laster and three sisters Georgia Francis, Beatrice Knight and Patsy Wells. She is survived by one son Tommy Knight of Elkton; one daughter Cindy Knight of Madisonville; one brother Willard Laster of Owensboro; three sisters Imogene Clifton of Russellville, Betty Spurlin of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Martha Allison of Hopkinsville; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation with the Knight family will be on Tuesday from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Chapman and Rev. Randy Davenport officiating. Interment will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton.
