Mr. David Christmas, age 73 of Clifty, passed away on Friday, March 29th at the Maple Manor Health Care in Greenville, Kentucky of natural causes.
He was born June 1, 1945 in Todd County, Kentucky the son of the late Elmer and Videll Johnson Christmas.
He was a member of the House of Prayer Church in Clifty where he served as Assistant Pastor. He was a retired truck mechanic and enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a daughter Sandy McKinney; two brothers Arthur and Ferrell Christmas and a grandson Matthew McGhee. He is survived by his wife Edna Ruth Christmas of Clifty; two daughters Sherry McGhee of Deerlick and Lisa Brumfield of Greenville; one brother Charles Christmas of Elkton; one sister Dorothy Brewer of Nebo, Kentucky; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren .
Visitation with the Christmas family will be on Sunday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Monday morning at 11:00 at the House of Prayer Church, 829 Todd-Deer Lick Road, Lewisburg, Kentucky with Reverends Autry Moore, Bill Skipworth, William Pierce and Donald Pendley officiating. Interment will follow at the New Harmony-Bivens Cemetery in Clifty.
