Mr. Edward Huddleston, age 82 of Clarksville and formerly of Guthrie, passed away on Thursday morning October 17th at his daughters’ home of natural causes.
Mr. Huddleston was born June 23, 1937 in Allensville, Kentucky the son of the late Charlie Huddleston and Gladys Williams Huddleston.
Mr. Huddleston was a retired Civil Service Employee at Ft. Campbell. He was an active member of the Guthrie Baptist Church and he loved his family, dancing, gardening and working outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife Shirley Huddleston and two sisters Dorothy Jean McEwen and Helen Darden. He is survived by two sons Russell Lewellen of Texas and Rocky Paulus of Guthrie; two daughters Phyllis Huddleston Ashby of Franklin, Tennessee and Dana Paterson of Clarksville and one brother Jimmy McNelly of Guthrie. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation with the Huddleston family will be held on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in the Chapel of the Cook-Webb Funeral Home with Reverend Kimbrough Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
