Hazel Lucille Johnson, age 90 of Niagara, Kentucky and formerly of Sharon Grove, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 30th at the Saint Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Center in Henderson, Kentucky of natural causes.
She was born February 11, 1929 in Sharon Grove, Kentucky the daughter of the late Hobart and Annie Baggett Tabb.
She was a member of the former Rangers Landing Missionary Baptist Church and later attended Zion Baptist Church. She loved her family, helping tend to her grandchildren, her churches and working in the yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Woodrow Lem Johnson; one daughter Kathleen Johnson and three brothers Odell Baggett, Dennis and Dallas Tabb. She is survived by one son Larry Johnson (Shannon) of Evansville, Indiana; three daughters Linda Schmidt (Morris), Brenda Jones (Gerald) both of Henderson, Kentucky and Shirley Thomas (Dennis) of Niagara, Kentucky; six grandchildren Clint Jones, Tammy Richards, David and Jonathan Schmidt, Stephanie Smith and Stacey Fish and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Shane Hessey officiating. Interment will follow at the Gant Cemetery in Sharon Grove.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Humane Society in Henderson County.
