Mrs. Kim Jefferson Nichols was born on October 5, 1964 to the late Charles Rutledge Jefferson and Ida Duffey Jefferson. She departed this life and went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 6, 2018 at her home in Adairville, Kentucky.
Kim professed a belief in God and united with the First Baptist Church in Russellville, Kentucky.
Kim united in marriage to James “Tony” Nichols and to this union two wonderful children was born, James Colby Nichols and Kennedy Marie Nichols. She was a very devoted mother and wife. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She loved attending sports events for both Colby and Kennedy. She enjoyed all the fellowship with the many friends that she made along the way. Kim had a dynamic, feisty personality and had the gift of telling you like it was if needed. Kim worked at Walmart for over 34 years and loved her Walmart family and customers. After being diagnosed with cancer in March of 2017 she often spoke of how special and how much her Walmart family and many friends meant to her for doing anything they could to help in any way.
She leaves to mourn her husband James “Tony” Nichols, her son James Colby Nichols, her daughter Kennedy Marie Nichols, sisters Jackie Tinsley, Tracey Gilbert (Felix) and Wendy Jefferson, special aunts Lorene Duffey, Brenda Duffey and Daisy Wetherby, uncles Thomas Duffey, Eugene Jefferson and James Jefferson, special cousin Meca Quarles and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with the Nichols family will be on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 at the First Baptist Church, 221 South Spring Street, Russellville, Kentucky. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Thursday at 1:00 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Sammy Spencer Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Russellville.
