Mary Lyon

Mary Lyon, age 92 of Elkton, passed away on Wednesday, April 18^th at her home of natural causes.

She was born May 20, 1925 in Todd County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Hewett and Matilda Warren Galyen.

She was a member of the Elkton Baptist Church.  She loved her family, gardening and quilting.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Ernest Lyon (1984) and one son Walter Lee Lyon (2007).  She is survived by two sons Ed Lyon (Fay) of Elkton and Nelson Lyon (Mary) of Corydon, Kentucky; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation with the Lyon family will be on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home.  Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Wilhite officiating.  Interment will follow at the Gant Cemetery in Sharon Grove.
