Obituary

Michael Wayne Woodard was born on December 15, 1975 to James Bailey and Priscilla Ann Woodard in Allensville, Kentucky.

 

At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined Mt. Zion CME of Guthrie, Kentucky.

 

Michael was educated in the Todd County School System and graduated in May of 1995. During high school Michael was a member of the Future Farmers of America organization. After graduation Michael went directly into the workforce.  He was last employed by Martinrea in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

 

Michael was an avid sports fan and was always ready to cheer on his Kentucky Wildcats basketball team and the Tennessee Titans football team. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cards. The bond between Michael and his mother was like no other.

 

Michael departed this life on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

 

He leaves to cherish his memory: a daughter Amber Paige Woodard of Trenton; a stepmother Nancy Bailey; a stepsister Regina Wells and stepbrother Frankie Wells all of Russellville.  Also surviving are a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Visitation with the Woodard family will be on Monday from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery in Allensville, Kentucky.
