Rev. Charlie Ford Edmonds, age 69 of Horse Cave, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, September 26th at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville of natural causes.
He was born September 7, 1948 the son of Coy Edmonds, Sr. and Carrie Mae Galbreath Edmonds. He was a member of the Horse Cave Baptist Church in Horse Cave. He preached the gospel for 47 years and was involved in mission work and children’s ministry around the world. He was a fine musician and was known for his talent with the guitar.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as three sisters Nannie Poole, Vickie Cross and Ada Wimberly. He is survived by three brothers William Neale Edmonds of Lafayette, Louisiana, Coy Edmonds, Jr. of Allensville and Vincent Edmonds of Detroit, Michigan and five sisters Julia Smith of Hopkinsville, Evon Cross of Indianapolis, Indiana, Doris Carr (Larry) of Detroit, Michigan, Vanessa Lyons (Keith) of Hopkinsville and Angelia Edmonds of Russellville.
Visitation with the Edmonds family will be on Monday from 10:00 until funeral service time at 12:00. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted at 12:00 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Elkton with Pastor Phillip Suber officiating and eulogy by Rev. Dr. Michael Rice. Interment will follow at the Elkton City Cemetery.
