The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mrs. Annie Bell Bellamy Leavell.
Mrs. Leavell, age 95 of Elkton, passed away on Sunday, September 3rd at the Hearthstone Place Nursing Home in Elkton.
She was born March 19, 1928, in Logan County, Kentucky daughter of the late Walter and Eddie Mae McGuire Bellamy.
She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Elkton, where she served on the Mother Board. She loved her family, making sweet pickles, flower gardening and being outdoors.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Leavell in 1975; two daughters, Terryie Becks and Stephanie Leavell; one stepson, Morris Leavell, Jr.; two brothers, Lee Roy Bellamy and Jimmy Bellamy and four sisters, Helen Graham, Lillie Browder, Jennie Vee Browder and Maudie Mae Gwynn. She is survived by four sons, David Leavell (Phyllis) of Elkton, Roy Leavell (Doris) of Russellville, Timothy Leavell (Lisa) of Clarksville and Gregory Leavell (Jenny) of Russellville; one daughter, Evelyn Kendrick (Stamard) of Hopkinsville; one stepdaughter, Mary Ann Croney (Charles) of North Carolina; nineteen grandchildren, forty-eight great grandchildren and sixteen great-great grandchildren and she raised one grandson, Gabriel Dontrey Leavell. She also leaves behind one niece/sister, Almarie Kurtz (George); one daughter in law, Betty Leavell and one son in law, Lawrence Becks.
Visitation with the Leavell Family will be held on Saturday, September 9th from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 at the First Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Phillip Suber officiating. Interment to follow at the Elkton-Glenwood Cemetery.
