Annie Juanita Warfield Terry was born September 28, 1938 to the late Douglas Warfield and Jesse B. Ingram Warfield in Todd County, Kentucky. She went home to be with Jesus on Friday, August 7, 2020.
Annie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior under the guidance of Rev. T.E. Winston at Guildfield Baptist Church of South Guthrie, Tennessee. She went on to join The Greater Faith Apostolic Church of Springfield, Tennessee.
She united in matrimony to the late Joe Leslie Terry and to that union they were blessed with one devoted daughter Ella Louise Terry.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters Eloise Warfield, Susanna Thorpe and Emily Jean Warfield and four brothers Douglas Warfield Jr., Joseph A. Warfield, John E. Warfield and Robert L. Warfield.
Those left to celebrate her life memories include her daughter Ella Louise Terry of Guthrie; a granddaughter Yolanda Chantal Darden of Clarksville, Tennessee; two grandsons Damien Darden of Whiteville, Tennessee and Marcus Darden of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia; one great grandson Marcus Darden Jr. of Clarksville, Tennessee; two sisters Dorothy Groves of Springfield, Tennessee and Rosie Hardy of Guthrie; two brother in laws John R. Terry (Denise) of Kokomo, Indiana and Ervin Thorpe of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; two sister in laws Mary Edings and Blanche Benton of Miami, Florida. She went on to raise two nephews that she thought of as sons Leonard Warfield of Cleveland, Ohio and Jeff Warfield of Saipan, MP. Also surviving are a host of loving relatives and friends.
Visitation with the Terry family will be on Friday from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Guthrie with Rev. Jesse Hardy officiating. Interment will follow at the Lester Chapel Cemetery in Guthrie.
Due to the Coronavirus (Covid19) there will be limited capacity. It is required that if you attend the visitation or service that you wear a mask and refrain from shaking hands and hugging as well as social distancing and keeping six feet apart.
