Anthony was born March 10, 1955, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to the late Foster and Mary T. Dickerson. He was one of the six children blessed among this union.
Anthony confessed his love for Christ at an early age. Later in life he accepted his calling into the ministry. He used his calling to the best of his ability to express his love for Christ.
Rev. Anthony graduated from Todd County Central High School in Elkton, Kentucky where he was an All-Star Basketball Player. After graduating from high school in 1973, he attended and graduated from Kentucky Business College in Lexington, Kentucky. After graduation he made a decision to start a new chapter in his life and remain as a resident of Lexington. During his lifetime in Lexington, he worked as a newspaper carrier for the Lexington Herald-Leader for many years and is also where he retirement from.
He was preceded in death by both his parents; three brothers, Eric, Terry, and Willie Dickerson; one sister, Anita Woodard and one son, Ryan Dickerson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one brother, Virgil T. Dickerson of Elkton, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Phillip Woodard of Elkton, Kentucky; two loving granddaughters, Mikaela Ryles and Maliyah Ryles of Lexington, Kentucky; one aunt, Dorothy Sue Burks of Kokomo, Indiana; one niece, Tiffany Woodard; one great-nephew, Kylan Gardner; special friends, Yolanda Marshall, Larry Coleman and Gary Taylor; a host of loving cousins, friends and his First Baptist Church Bracktown family.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday at 3:30 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Lisa Balboa officiating. Interment will follow at the Elkton-Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton.
Mask will be required as well as social distancing and no hugging or shaking hands.
