Danny Stokes

The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mr. Danny Stokes.  

Danny Stokes, age 68 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away October 5th in Lexington, Kentucky. 

Danny was born March 23, 1955, in Todd County, Kentucky son of the late Ed Stokes Jr. and Virginia Knight Stokes. 

He loved his family, friends, fishing and was a natural comedian.  

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Marty Stokes and four sisters, Judy Stokes Greatorex, Sharon Stokes, Peggy Latham and Shannon Stokes.  He is survived by his wife, Marcella Stokes of Morgantown; three sons, Daniel Ray Stokes of Russellville, Kentucky, Daniel Edward Stokes of Chicago, Illinois and Neil Knight of Westmoreland, Tennessee; four daughters, Danielle Stokes of Elkton, Brandi Lowe-Cordero of Hopkinsville, Misty Skipworth of Morgantown, Kentucky and Arriae Stokes of Morgantown, Kentucky; three brothers, Douglas Stokes, Mark Stokes and Scott Stokes all of Elkton; three sisters, Wanda Reynolds of California, Carolyn Smith and Teressa Stokes both of Elkton; twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  

Visitation with the Stokes family will be held on Tuesday, October 17th from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home.  Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday, October 18th at 2:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Reverend Frankie Skipworth Jr. officiating. Interment to follow at the Stokes Chapel Cemetery.
