David Leon Cain, age 64 of Clifty, passed away on Friday, February 5th at the University of Louisville Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky of natural causes.
He was born April 24, 1956 in Logan County, Kentucky the son of the late Estel and Ruth York Cain.
He was a member of the House of Prayer where he was a minister and Sunday School Superintendent. He retired as a construction worker. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Cain; a brother, James Cain and a sister, Betty Ryan. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Cain of Clifty; three sons, Matthew Littrel of Iowa, Paul Ford (Phyllis) of Clifty and Richard Slaughter (Nicole) of Morgantown; three daughters, Sarah Border (Ben) of Iowa, Ashley Kennedy (Joe) and Paula Vetter (Shane) both of Tennessee; three brothers, Buddy Cain of Lewisburg, Randall and Jackie Cain both of Iowa; three sisters, Barbara Cain of Lewisburg, Patsy Mathews (Dale) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Nelda Blake (Keith) of Illinois; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Nelson Clay Bodes and Jerry Sweeney officiating. Interment will follow at the Bivins Cemetery in Clifty.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Todd County Funeral Home to assist with funeral expense. You may make a donation at the funeral home or online.
Mask will be required as well as social distancing and no hugging or shaking hands.
