Dorothy Elizabeth Thacker

Dorothy Elizabeth Thacker departed this life on February 10, 2021. She was born February 3, 1947 to the late Mamie Kenner.

She attended Todd County Training School in Elkton and graduated from Draughons College with an AA Degree in Medical Assisting. She worked for Red Kapp Manufacturing Company for 33 years and was also employed at the local Walmart for 7 years. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her church family and was proud to stand at the church doors on Sunday morning to usher in God’s people to hear a word from the Lord.

Dorothy was married to the late Bobby Thacker.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Davie Gene Kenner (Angela) of Russellville; one daughter, Patricia Leavell of Russellville; two sisters, Mattie Hines (Wendell) of Oakville, KY and Shirley Hockaday (Dickie) of Conyers, GA; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren; one aunt, Wilma Reese of Indianapolis, IND; four nephews and one niece.

Weather permitting visitation will be on Saturday from 12:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Fort officiating. Interment will be at the Elkton Cemetery.

 Mask will be required as well as social distancing and no hugging or shaking hands.
