Mrs. Edna Chapman Ramsey, age 86 of Todd County, passed away on Thursday, November 1st at the Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville of natural causes.
She was born December 4, 1931 in Todd County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Roy and Mabel Eddings.
She was retired from the State of Kentucky where she worked as a secretary for Judge Tyler Gill in the court system. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. She loved her family, reading and doing puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Colin W. Ramsey (2018). She is survived by four sons Stephen L. Chapman (Wanda) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Gary Chapman (Norma) of Elkton, Larry Chapman (Linda) and Kevin Ramsey (Tracey) both of Lewisburg; one brother Myrl “Buddy” Eddings of Mobile, Alabama; two sisters Josephine Wright of Austin, Kentucky and Gloria Poe of Louisville, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Ramsey family will be on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Stokes Chapel Church and again on Sunday from 1:00 until funeral service time at 3:00. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 at the Stokes Chapel Church with Reverend Steve Hibbs officiating. Interment to follow at the Gant Cemetery in Sharon Grove.
