Elizabeth Mayes Obituary

Elizabeth Mayes, age 72 of Elkton, passed away on Saturday, January 9^th at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

She was born October 3, 1948 in Cerulean, Kentucky the daughter of the late Daniel Patton and Gertha Stuart Bennett.

She was a member of Clifty House of Prayer. She loved her family and enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mayes and a sister, Alice Powell. She is survived by two daughters, Diane Bowen of Kirkmansville and Jennifer Logan of Waverly, Tennessee; two sisters, Mary Hendricks of Illinois and Sue Powell of Kirkmansville; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 11:00 until memorial service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Nelson Clay Bodes officiating.

Mask will be required as well as social distancing and no hugging or shaking hands.
