Eva Mae Lear, age 75 of Greenville, passed away on Thursday, June 21st at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green of natural causes.
She was born August 8, 1942 in Logan County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Vertner and Alice Hutchison Brown.
She was a member of Trinity General Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Arvil Lear; two brothers Kenneth Brown and Steven Duke; one sister Eveline Sweeney; a step sister Madgline White and one great grandson Logan Schutt. She is survived by one son Kenneth Lear (Annette) of Russellville; two daughters Mary Collins of Elkton and Lisa Saddler (David) of Fairview; three brothers Chester Brown of Elkton, Larry Brown of Greenville and Wayne Duke of Morganfield, Kentucky; two step brothers Billy Dukes of Elkton and Glen Lear of Greenville; two sisters Ima Nell Boyd and May Duke both of Morganfield, Kentucky; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Lear family will be on Sunday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home and again on Monday from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 at the Trinity General Baptist Church in Clifty. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Monday at 1:00 at the Trinity General Baptist Church in Clifty with Bro. Roger Reynolds and Bro. Donald McGehee officiating. Interment will follow at the New Cedar Grove Church Cemetery in Elkton.
