The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mrs. Eva Mae Watkins.
Mrs. Eva Mae Watkins, age 89 of Hopkinsville and formerly of Elkton, passed away on Monday, February 6th at Covington's Convalescent Home in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
She was born August 10, 1933 in Todd County, Kentucky daughter of the late Walter and Ermie Sears Shemwell.
She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, the Modern Woodmen and the Good Sam Club. She worked for Houchens Industries in Russellville. She loved her family and friends as well as going camping with her husband when she was able.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noble O. Watkins in 2018. She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Shemwell Gates of Hopkinsville; a niece, Rhonda Gates of Murray, Kentucky; a nephew, Roger Gates of Crofton and a nephew by marriage, Tim Henderson.
A graveside service is scheduled to be conducted on Thursday, February 9th at 1:00 at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Dr. Jeff DiMatties officiating.
