Gaynell Christian transitioned from this earthly life to her heavenly home on June 1, 2020. She was born on May 1, 1927 to the late Jim and Emma Clark Christian in Elkton, Kentucky.
She graduated from the Todd Training School. Gaynell accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age and was a lifelong member of the First Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher and was a studious Sunday School scholar.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters; Lottie Christian, Minnie Smith, Mattie Christian, Willie Harrell and Lucy Osborne as well as two brothers Robert Christian and Raymond Johnson.
Gaynell leaves to cherish her memory; her daughters, Jeaneth Christian and Pamela Christian both of Elkton; a son, Ronnie Christian (Wendi) of Elkton; six grandchildren, Chadwick Christian, Ashley Christian, Bradley Christian and Brittany Christian all of Elkton, Ronnie Christian Jr., of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Mercedes Bussell (Brooks) of Hopkinsville and four great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation with the Christian family will be on Saturday from 12:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Suber officiating. Interment will follow at the Elkton Glenwood Cemetery.
Due to the Coronavirus (Covid19) there will be limited capacity. It is required that if you attend the visitation or service that you wear a mask and refrain from shaking hands and hugging as well as social distancing and keeping six feet apart.
