Gene Warren, age 75 of Elkton, passed away on Thursday, February 24th at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
He was born March 15, 1946 in Durango, Colorado the son of the late Cecil Guy and Dorothy Hammons Warren.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hopkinsville where he served as a Deacon and was retired from the United States Army where he served in combat in Vietnam. He loved his family and enjoyed doing yardwork.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Keith, Cecil, Frances, Mark and Floyd Warren as well as two sisters, Sherma Rose Perry and Mary Weigel. He is survived by his wife, Jan Warren of Elkton; a son, Tilley Warren of Elkton; a daughter, Libby Warren of Elkton and two brothers, Guy Warren of Pennsylvania and Monroe Warren of Arizona.
There will be a Graveside Service on Thursday, March 3rd at 11:00 with full military rites at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville with Rev. Rebecca Reeder officiating.
