Helen Elaine Bellamy, 81, a native of Daysville, Kentucky, born May 16, 1940 to the late Walter Douglas and Eddie Mae McGuire Bellamy.
As a young girl, while attending Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Olmstead, KY Helen dedicated her life to Christ. She was a graduate from Todd Training High School. After high school, she married James Floyd Graham on May 27, 1960. An excellent hard worker who was dedicated to always doing the job right the first time, she retired from Spaulding Laundry, Kenway Janitorial Services (Galt House) and University of Louisville where she did custodial duties with excellence.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James Floyd Graham; daughter, Sharon Denise Graham; stepdaughter, Aletta Greenlee; siblings, Willie Douglas Bellamy, Lillie Bea “Aunt Bee” Browder, Jenna V. Bellamy Browder, Maude Mae Bellamy Guynn, Rev. Lee Roy Bellamy and James Leslie Bellamy.
She leaves behind a sister, Annie Levell of Elkton; a niece/sister, Alma Marie Kurtz of New Albany, IND; son, Floyd Graham of Lewisburg, KY; daughter, Monica Alexander of Louisville, KY; stepdaughter, Shydora Dickerson of Louisville, KY; 4 grandsons, Tyrone Posey of Lewisburg, KY, Breonn Alexander of Killeen, TX, Koree Alexander of Belton, TX, and Robert Amos of Springfield, KY; a granddaughter, Delicia Posey of Louisville, KY, and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Phillips Memorial CME Church, 3535 Grand Ave., Louisville, KY. Viewing will be from 12:00 - 1:00. Services begins at 1:00 with repass to follow the service. Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the Todd County Funeral Home, 720 West Main St, Elkton, KY. Viewing will be from 1:00 -2:00. Services begins at 2:00 with interment to follow at the Todd County Meadow Haven.
