JC Monroe

The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mr. JC Monroe.

Mr. JC Monroe, age 93 of Allegre, passed away on Sunday, December 22nd at his home.

JC was born February 1, 1931 in Todd County, Kentucky son of the late Cal and Agnes Winders Monroe.

He was a member of Bellview Baptist and owner of Jay Cee Market in Allegre for 69 years. He loved his family, friends, singing, horseback riding and trap shooting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Monroe; a daughter, Amy Minuth; a brother, Matthew Monroe and a sister, Anna Bell Thornsberry. He is survived by a daughter, Pam Johnson (Dee) of Allegre; three brothers, Wendell Monroe of Clifty, Virgil Monroe of Harrodsburg, Kentucky and Alvis Monroe of Allegre; three special girls, Tonya Croxton, Lexie Monroe and Abby Martin Kieffer and a special buddy, Calvin Monroe.

There will be a Graveside Service on Tuesday, December 24th at 10:00 at the McColpin Cemetery in Allegre with Bro. Fred Harrison and Bro. Eddie Mitchell officiating.
