James Edwin Cobb, age 71 of Guthrie, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at the VA Medical Center in Nashville, TN of natural causes.
He was born August 20, 1949 in Springfield, Tennessee the son of the late James Coy Cobb and Catheryn Moss West.
He was a licensed electrician by trade and a proud member of the IBEW. He was a hardworking man, who took pride in caring for his family. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and fishing. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Darlene Cobb; a son Tony Cobb and a brother Tracey Holman. He is survived by two daughters Bettina Cobb Shank (Jeremy) of Guthrie and Amy Cobb of Allensville; a step son Harry Davis and a step daughter Edwina Baccus both of Clarksville; two brothers Ronnie Cobb of Seattle, Washington and Danny Holman of Guthrie; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 and again on Friday from 12:00 until 1:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Friday at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Buck Tidwell officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
