James Graham Obituary

Some called him “James,” others called him “Jim.” He would also answer to “Graham,” “Uncle James,” “Pops,” Papa,” “Grand Daddy,” and “Daddy;” no matter what, he always answered the call. A conversation-starter who never met a stranger, James enjoyed being outdoors, working on cars, and making people laugh. For those who knew him, knew his passion was fishing.

James gave his life to Christ at a young age while attending Mount Zion CME Church of Guthrie, Kentucky. He retired from TARC to focus on his favorite pastime, fishing. The more fish he caught, the bigger the fishing tales became. James Floyd Graham left the shores of this earthly life on July 5, 2021.

James was born on January 25, 1939 in Elkton, Kentucky to Lizzie Lee Langston and William Graham. He attended and graduated from Todd Training High School. While in high school, James had a star in his eye for Helen Elaine Bellamy. They married on May 27, 1960. James leaves behind his wonderful bride of sixty-one years.

James was preceded in death by his seven siblings: Bessie Barham, Dorothy Finley, Mary Rhodes, Delores Lewis, Joseph, Wallace, Winston, Langston Graham and his daughter, Aletta Greenlee. He leaves to mourn his death his three sisters, Ella Hamilton, Mildred McGuire, and Patsy Graham, one son, Floyd Graham, daughters, Monica Alexander, Shydora Dickerson, 4 grandsons, Tyrone Posey (Lewisburg, KY), Breonn and Koree Alexander (Killeen, TX), and Robert Amos (Springfield, KY), 1 granddaughter, Delicia Posey (Louisville, KY), a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
