James "Jimmy" Wright

The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mr. James "Jimmy" Wright.

James "Jimmy" Wright, age 88 of Lucas, Texas and formerly of the Claymour Community, passed away on Friday, January 6^th at the Garnet Hill Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Nursing Home in Wylie, Texas of natural causes. 

He was born May 16, 1934 in Elkton, Kentucky son of the late Bennett and Dura Lyon Wright. 

He was retired from the United States Navy, a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the VFW and the American Legion.  He loved his family and has most especially enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren in Texas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Wright and two sisters, Jane Gant and Jean Shoemate.  He is survived by his son, Steven Wright (Heike) of Lucas, Texas and four grandchildren. 

Visitation with the family is scheduled to be held on Sunday, January 15^th from 12:00 until funeral service time at 2:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Father Frank Ruff officiating. Interment to follow at the Glenwood Cemetery.
