The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Ms. Joeldine Summers.
Ms. Summers, age 84 of Elkton, passed away on Thursday, August 24th at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
She was born October 30, 1938 in Cedar Hill, Tennessee daughter of the late Roy and Onie Douglas Holloway.
She was Baptist by faith. She loved her family, visiting with friends and being outdoors.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Summers; two sons, Willie and Billy Summers; one brother, James Holloway; five sisters, Lucille Talbert, Vivian Wallace, Agnes Bryant, Maedell Summers and Gracie Holloway and two grandchildren, Michael and Tiffany Williams. She is survived by one son, John Summers (Patti) of West Moreland, Tennessee; two daughters, Bertha Williams (Glenn) and Joann Brock (Joel) both of Elkton; one brother, Bill Holloway of South Dakota; twelve grandchildren, Cristy, Glenn Jr., Angel, Christine, Johnny, Alex, Allison, Jennifer, Holly, Julia, Lorretta and Victoria and twenty-one great grandchildren, Lily, Landon, Millie, Nolan, Kylan, Wyatt, Brooklyn, Parker, Jayla, Isiah, Zoey, Kaylee, Everlee, Braydan, Isabella, Kaisley, Kayden, Alivia, Jaxen, Aiyana and Cali. She is also survived by a special daughter in law, Patti Summers; two daughters by heart, Mary Christmas and Linda Tomlinson and special nephews, Mike and James "Dump" Henley, Donnie and Jerry Wallace.
Visitation with the Summers family will be held on Monday, August 28th from 5:00 until 7:00 and again on Tuesday, August 29th from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Reverend Jr. Tomlinson and Shane Hessey officiating. Interment to follow at the Stokes Chapel Cemetery.
