The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Ms. Linda Sue Ladd Skeen.
It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life, we remember and celebrate the beautiful soul of Linda Sue Ladd Skeen, who passed away surrounded by love, on July 24, 2025 at 12:30 pm, at the Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care in Scottsville, KY.
The beloved baby of nine children, she was born August 14, 1951 in Crofton, KY. Growing up in a home filled with love, she carried that same spirit into everything she did. Married at a young age, she embraced motherhood with unwavering devotion and grace. She was the gentle, steady heart of her family and the most loving mother to her two daughters. She was always offering quiet encouragement, endless support, and the soft strength only she could give.
Her love only grew with each generation. Her four grandchildren were the pride of her heart and her eyes lit up whenever she spoke of them. In her later years, her four great-grandchildren brought her joy beyond measure. She made no secret of the fact that she was just a little partial to them, and they made her golden years shine even brighter. To know her was to be loved by her. A true friend, a loving sister and a treasured coworker. She had a gift for making others feel seen, valued, and special. She poured her heart into everything she did, always giving her very best. Whether in her work, at home, or among family & friends, she left an imprint of kindness, gentleness, and love.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Roy and Mary Ladd; brothers, Frankie Ladd, Bobby Ladd, James Ladd, Jerry Ladd, Jackie Ladd, and a sister, Joyce Ladd Moore. She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Ronnie) Miller and Wendy (Greg) Hill; four grandchildren, Kari Haley, Lauren (Mason) Harris, Hunter Haley, and Chance Hill; four great-grandchildren, Knox Orosco, Kennedy Harris, Ladd Harris, and Shepherd Harris; one sister, Wanda Ladd Clemons; one brother, Roger Ladd and special sister-in-law, Karen Ladd. Also surviving are twelve nephews, and seven nieces.
Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, July 30th from 11:00 until funeral service time at 2:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with her grandson, Rev. Mason Harris officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgetop Cemetery in Crofton, Kentucky.
The family would like to extend special gratitude to the staff at Cal Turner Rehab and Specialty Center for their diligent loving care.
Her legacy is one of love, quiet strength, a servant’s heart, a life beautifully lived, and a woman deeply loved. She will be missed more than words can express, but her spirit will remain with us always.
