Lula Mae Hightower, age 85 of Elkton, passed away on Monday, July 13th at her home of natural causes.
She was born December 21, 1934 in Todd County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Thomas Lee and Lula Robertson.
She was a member of Trenton Assembly of God. She loved her family, shopping and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Leroy Hightower; two brothers Bill and Nick Robertson and three sisters Marie Robertson, Peggy Weatherford and Elsie Hudnall. She is survived by a son Roy Lee Hightower of Jacksonville, Missouri; three daughters Dorothy Stokes of Clarksville, Tennessee, Jackie Sanders of Elkton and Peggy Walker of Russellville; a brother Thomas “Bub” Robertson of Elkton; a sister Betty Jo Chance of Springfield, Tennessee; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday morning at 11:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Dorsey officiating. Interment will follow at the Stokes Chapel Cemetery in Elkton.
Due to the Coronavirus (Covid19) there will be limited capacity. It is required that if you attend the visitation or service that you wear a mask and refrain from shaking hands and hugging as well as social distancing and keeping six feet apart.
