The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Ms. Mary Evelyn Stovall.
Ms. Mary Evelyn Stovall, age 83 of Elkton, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born July 25, 1942, in Allensville, Kentucky to the late Horace Bennie and Rosie Lee Foster. She enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, baking, crafting, and serving in her church.
At an early age she professed a hope in Christ and united with Mount Zion CME Church where she served faithfully until her health begin to fail. She served as a Stewardess, Missionary, on the Kitchen Committee, and on the Financial Board.
She was a graduate of the Todd County Training School. She later worked as an Instructional Assistant at South Todd Elementary School, a cook/baker at 2Kates, Food Giant and L&R Soda Shoppe before retiring in 2024.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mabel Jean Foster, Josephine Woodard, Horace Foster and William Foster, and a great grandson, Nasir.
She leaves to cherish in her loving memory, three daughters, Gayla Norwood of Florissant, Missouri, Shelma Crudup (Kerry) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Tracey Stovall of Russellville, Kentucky; a son, Jason Stovall (Tiffany) of Russellville, Kentucky; two sisters, Polly Ann Glass of Elkton and Rosie Martin of Auburn, Kentucky; two brothers, John Foster (Brenda) of Elkton and Samuel Foster (Flossie) of Allensville; eight grandchildren, Erica, Brittany, Shayla, Janisa, Jalen, J.D., Jasonia, and Mary Lynn; two step grandchildren, Lexi and Khloe and four great grandchildren, Brayden, Amina, Amir, and Amora. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation with the Stovall family will be on Sunday, October 19th from 12:00 until funeral service time at 2:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Tammy Acree officiating. Interment will follow at the Spillman Chapel Church Cemetery in Allensville.
