Mattie Bell Stuard

Mattie Bell Stuard, age 82 of Guthrie, passed away on Tuesday, January 26^th at her home of natural causes.

Mattie was born October 17, 1938 in Springfield, Tennessee the daughter of the late Albert and Grace Cox.

She was a member of Red River Baptist Church and the former owner of Stuard’s Furniture & Antiques as well as the Guthrie Drive In. She loved her family, flowers and antique collecting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Stuard Sr. (1982); two sons, Mike and Jeffery Stuard and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by a son, William S. Stuard Jr. (Cindy) of Clarksville; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home. There will be a Graveside Service on Friday at 11:00 at the Red River Cemetery in Adams, Tennessee with Pastor Beau Jensen officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Mattie’s memory to Guthrie Main Street, PO Box 67, Guthrie, Kentucky 42234.

Mask will be required as well as social distancing and no hugging or shaking hands.
