The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mrs. Melissa Gail Johnson Pace.
Mrs. Melissa Johnson Pace, age 57 of Guthrie, passed away on Wednesday, August 13th at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Melissa was born November 6, 1967 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky daughter of Glen Douglas Johnson and Velma Arlene Latham Rager. She was raised by her stepmother, Carolyn Johnson from the age of 3.
She was Baptist by faith. She loved her family and enjoyed doing crafts, cooking, painting and bird watching.
She is preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Pace of Guthrie; her mother and step father Velma and Larry Rager of Clifty and her stepmother, Carolyn Johnson of Hopkinsville; three sons, Wesley Spurlin (Jeanna) of Muhlenberg County, Alex and Trent Pace both of Guthrie; a daughter, Amber Spurlin Lopez (Luis) of Elkton; a brother, Wayne Johnson of Hopkinsville; two half brothers Jeff Rager of Missouri and Justin Rager of Hopkinsville as well as two sisters; sisters, Karen Buckley and Julie Hyams both of Hopkinsville and nine grandchildren, Maritza Lopez, Kristofer Lopez, Jonathan Lopez, Estela Lopez, Carolyn Lopez, Andrew Spurlin, Winston Spurlin, Oliver Spurlin and Denver Spurlin.
Visitation with the family will be on Monday, August 18th from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Chapman officiating. Interment will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery.
