Nell Elizabeth Powell

The Todd County Funeral Home of Elkton is honored to have been called to serve the family of Nell Elizabeth Powell. 

Mrs. Nell Elizabeth Powell, age 73 of Allegre, passed away on Tuesday, October 4th at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, Tennessee of natural causes. 

She was born July 8, 1949 in Fairview, Kentucky the daughter of the late Carles Lee and Inga Elizabeth Smith Cowan. 

She was a homemaker. She loved the Lord, her family and enjoyed cooking and traveling.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Cowan.  She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Powell of Allegre; one son, Mark Powell (Lisa) of Elkton; two daughters, Mechelle Kaminiski (James) of Clarksville and Amy Powell of Allegre; three sisters, Betty Shanklin of Carbondale, Illinois, Dorothy Outland of Fairview, Kentucky and Joyce Threatt of Big Rock, Tennessee and six grandchildren. 

Visitation with the Powell family will be held on Saturday, October 8th from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Noffsinger and Reverend Freddie Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery.
