The Cook-Webb Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Ms. Pamela Cohoon Parks.
Ms. Parks passed away on August 22, 2024, in Brentwood, Tennessee. Pam was born March 27, 1949, in Dothan, Alabama to Acton "Bill" and Mary Chastain Cohoon. She was active in 4H and graduated from Todd County Central High School in 1967.
She attended David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated with a degree in Home Economics Education in 1971. After marriage and time living abroad in Heidelberg, Germany, she lived in Houston, Texas before moving to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1976.
During her time in Bartlesville, she was an active member at Limestone Church of Christ and later Adams Boulevard Church of Christ. She worked for many years as a preschool teacher and later a beloved Kindergarten teacher at Caney Valley Elementary in Ochelata until her retirement. She loved children and took great joy in being a mother, teacher and a grandmother. She was happiest when she was serving and spreading love to others through visits, cards, and acts of kindness.
She is survived by her parents, Bill and Mary Cohoon; her brother, Barry Cohoon and her three children, David Parks, Ben Parks and Sarah Parks Duncan. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Josie, Jenna, Callie, Ava, Lila, Albert and George.
A celebration of life service will be held on September 14, 2024, at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ in Guthrie with visitation at 1:00 followed by the service at 2:00.
