Rita Faye Burnett

Rita Faye Burnett, age 57 of Allensville, passed away on Wednesday, May 12^th in Allensville, Kentucky.

She was born April 20, 1964 in Logan County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Bobbie Jean Gardner and Charles William “Skuttle” Burnett.

She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her family, gardening, going for walks, watching movies and cooking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Steven Thomas Burnett.  She is survived by a son, Larry Darnell Burnett of Allensville; a daughter, Martisha Bertha of Radcliff, Kentucky; two brothers, Frank Burnett of Glasgow, Kentucky and Esther Burnett of San Diego, California; a sister, Nickie Burnett of Bowling Green, Kentucky; six grandchildren, De’aondra Wilson, Kayla Pollard, Kaliyah Pollard, Cedic Mallory, Markiz Burse and Laviya Burnett; two nieces, Dominique Nicole Gatewood and Cricket Blair Burnett; two nephews, Shawan and Cameron Burnett; longtime companion of 20 years, Larry Piper and two special friends, Pacola Colon and Laura Burse.

Visitation with the family will be on Monday, May 17^th from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 at the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Allensville with Pastor Frank Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.
