Mrs. Rosemary Ropp Coblentz, age 62 yrs. 11 month 6 days of Guthrie passed away Friday evening, October 1st at Tennova Health Care in Clarksville, Tennessee following injuries following an accident.
She was born October 25, 1957 in Kalona, Iowa. Daughter of Chester and Annie Yoder Ropp.
She accepted Christ in her youth and was a member of the South District Amish Church, she loved her family, gardening, sewing and quilting.
On November 9, 1989 she was united in marriage to Sam Coblentz. They lived in matrimony for nearly 31 years.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1970 and a sister Lorena Ropp Miller in 2019.
She will be missed by her husband Sam Coblentz of Guthrie, daughter Suetta Anne Coblentz and friend Amos Mast of Guthrie, stepchildren Wilma Joann Coblentz, Martha Rose Coblentz of Guthrie, Lavina Kay Coblentz of Olmstead, Glen and Ginger Coblentz of Hopkinsville and granddaughter Carrie Marie Coblentz.
She is also survived by her mother Annie Ropp of Kalona, Iowa three brothers, Earl Ropp (Emma), Wayne Ropp (Dorothy) and Monroe Ropp (Orpha) all of Kalona, Iowa. And a brother in law Alvin S. Miller from Munnsville, New York as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the Coblentz family will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until 5:00 and 6:00 until 8:00 at the South District Amish Church. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Monday morning at 10:00 at the South District Amish Church with Minister Marvin Kanagy officiating, interment will follow in the South District Amish Church Cemetery.
