Samuel (Sammy) Redford Wells, age 73 of Elkton, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee of natural causes.
He was born April 17, 1948 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, the son of the late Norman E. and Bertha Griffiths Wells.
He was a member of the Christian Church of Elkton. He loved collecting guns and cars, and he also loved to do mechanic work.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two beloved stepdaughters, Meagan Davis of Hopkinsville and Courtney Davis of Moundridge, Kansas; a brother, Manuel E. Wells of Nashville; a nephew, Manny Wells of Nashville and a niece, Claire Wells of Louisiana; a sister, Carolyn Wells of Elkton; and his dear friends, Bob and Bill Carver.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Sherry Perry officiating. Interment will follow on a later date. The family is requesting those attending to wear a mask.
