Sherry Gay Dorris

Sherry Gay Dorris, age 62 of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and formerly of Sharon Grove, passed away on October 12, 2020 at her home from cancer.

She was born October 13, 1957 in Russellville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Charles E. and Barbara D. Crawford Dorris.

Sherry was Methodist by faith and her greatest accomplishment was becoming an RN and graduating Hopkinsville Community College with honors.

She loved her family, helping others, listening to music especially Elvis Presley and loved Will’s cooking especially grilled cheese and scallops.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a stepmother, Mamie I. Dorris; a sister, Paula Kay Potter; two stepbrothers, Andy and Sam Bruton and a stepsister, Janie Crane. She is survived by her husband, Will Jensen of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a son, Jamison Lee Goley (Julie) of Springfield, Tennessee; a daughter, Brandyn Michelle Wright of Adairville; a brother, Jeff Dorris (Debbie) of Alabama; a stepbrother, Joe Brunton (Susan) of Selmer, Tennessee; a stepsister, Elizabeth Sharp (Paul) of Old Hickory, Tennessee; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Due to Covid 19 there will be a private graveside service on May 10, 2021 at 12:00 in Russellville, Kentucky with Steve Rowberry officiating.
