The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Shirley Sue (Lee) Anglin.

Mrs. Shirley Sue Anglin, age 82 of Pembroke, passed away on Friday, April 25th at Hearthstone Place in Elkton.

Shirley was born April 7, 1943 in White Plains, Kentucky daughter of the late Shelby Lee and Ella Mae Dillinder Lee.

She was a seamstress at Flynn Enterprise in the 1960’s. She moved to Alabama and Illinois and continued her career as a seamstress. When she moved to England, she started working at the Army Air Force Exchange Service and continued working for the company when she returned to the United States in 1982 in Texas and Wyoming. When she returned to Kentucky in 1988, and returned to the job she enjoyed as a seamstress and went back to work for Flynn Enterprise where she retired in early 2001. She enjoyed planting flowers in her flower garden, decorating for the holidays and spending time with family and friends. She loved animals and found comfort in them especially in the last few years of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Pat Lee, Charles “Buster” Lee, Eva Nell Pryor, Johnnie Lee, Joe Lee and Ronnie Lee; nephews, Carl Wayne Pryor, John Glen Pryor and Justin Pryor and niece, Anne Pryor. She is survived by her husband of over 55 years, Gary Anglin of Pembroke; daughter, Mary Jo Kaiser (Daniel) of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Lauryn Uchiyama (Jason), Chris Arroyo (Shawna), Matthew Kaiser, Daniel K. Kaiser, III (Tori) and Noah Kaiser (Natasha) and eight great grandchildren, Celeste Gouge, Temperance Burbank, Cylas Arroyo, Lilyana Arroyo, Salyc Arroyo, Alyc Arroyo, Emberlynn Darnell and Cyla Arroyo. Also surviving are two sister-in-law’s, Shirley Lee and Joyce Lee and their daughters.

Visitation with the Anglin family will be on Wednesday, April 30th from 6:00 until 8:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Thursday, May 1st at 12:30 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Shane Hessey officiating. Interment will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Christian County Animal Shelter or Alzheimer’s Research Association.
