The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mrs. Shirley Gardner.
Mrs. Shirley Gardner, age 80 of Hornbeak, Tennessee and formerly of Allensville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 28th at her home.
Mrs. Gardner was born December 18, 1943, in Logan County, Kentucky daughter of the late Edgar and Laura Shemwell Whitescarver.
She was Baptist by faith, loved her family, playing on her computer, flower gardening and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Harry Gardner and one brother, Estill Whitescarver. She is survived by one son, JV Gardner and wife, Timberly of Hornbeak Tennessee; three daughters, Kim Wheeler and husband, Robert Lee of Russellville, Kentucky, Lori Richards and husband, Cory of Hornbeak, Tennessee and Pebbles Case and husband, Ronnie of Hornbeak, Tennessee; one brother, Dean Whitescarver of Lewisburg, Kentucky; one sister, Sandra Adler of Russellville, Kentucky; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Gardner family will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be held on Saturday, June 1st at 11:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Shane Hessey officiating. Interment to follow at the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Obion, Tennessee.
