The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Ms. Teresa Sue Cooper
Ms. Teresa Sue Cooper, age 69 of Elkton, passed away on Thursday, December 19th at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Teresa was born on November 16, 1955, in Greenville, Kentucky daughter of the late Arthur Y. and Sarah L. Greenwood Johnson.
Teresa spent over 40 years working as a nurse with her last employment at Western State Hospital where she retired in 2018. She was Baptist by faith. She was a loving mother and doting grandmother. She loved to line dance with her family and friends, and she enjoyed going on vacations to the beach but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was loved and adored by all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lisa Wasson. She is survived by a son, John Kyle Cooper (Nikki) of Auburn, Kentucky; a daughter, Jeanett Carrender of Lewisburg, Kentucky; a brother, Joey Johnson of Elkton; a sister, Carol Garza (Robert) of Clarksville, Tennessee and five special grandchildren, Jordan Johnson, Joshua Carrender, Lorelai, Natalie and John Cooper. Also surviving are several nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation with the Cooper family will be on Monday, December 23rd from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Cain officiating. Interment will follow at the Stokes Chapel Cemetery in Elkton.
