The Cook-Webb Funeral Home of Guthrie is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mr. Terry Sayle.
Terry Sayle, age 79 of Guthrie, passed away on Thursday, May 9th at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Terry was born June 27, 1944 in Todd County, Kentucky the son of the late Dock Bryan and Nellie Griffin Sayle.
He was a member of the Tiny Town Baptist Church in Guthrie where he served as song leader for over 30 years, was a member of the Guthrie Bethel Vesper Lodge #669 F&AM and the gospel group The Messengers Quartet. He was a Vietnam veteran with the US Army, retired from Koppers and a former WEKT AM radio station DJ and sports announcer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Walton, Jack and Kenneth Sayle and two sisters, Evelyn Bratton and Betty Camp. He is survived by a son, Kyle Sayle (Maureen) of Adams, Tennessee; two daughters, Terri Joy Brown (Rick) and Julie Goodman (Andrew) both of Adams, Tennessee; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A visitation with the Sayle family will be on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 at Tiny Town Baptist Church. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 at Tiny Town Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Dukes and Reverend Steve Haley officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
