Thomas Gary Shaw

The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mr. Thomas Gary Shaw.

Mr. Thomas Gary Shaw, age 84 of Hopkinsville, passed away on Monday, June 22nd at his home.

Gary was born August 25, 1941 in Caney, Kansas son of the late Tom Shaw and Edna Walker Shaw.

He was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Gary was a veteran serving in the United States Marines and United States Army Reserve. He loved spending time with his family and friends as well as playing Yahtzee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Shaw; four brothers, Sonny, Virgil, Estelle and Ronnie Shaw and two sisters, Cleata Brown and Kaye Papineau. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Shaw of Hopkinsville; a son, Bryan Shaw “7th Command Chief Warrant Officer of the Texas Military Department” and wife Jennifer of Texas; a sister, Shawna Perdue of Wichita, Kansas; two children by love, Daniel and Victoria Hughes and two grandchildren by love, William and Robert Hughes.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 on Saturday, June 27th at the Edgewood Baptist Church, 2300 Cadiz Road, Hopkinsville with Brandon Boone officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Pennyroyal Veteran Center, 506 Boales Street, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
